Gene Cork

Gene Cork’s a native Georgian who has lived in Marietta since the mid-60’s. He’s a graduate of Sprayberry High School and of Emory University. He began his construction career with Beer’s (Skanska) in 1984 and later formed Cork-Howard Construction in 1995. The company is headquartered in Marietta, has an office in Tampa and is a licensed general contractor in eight Southern states. Gene presently serves on the Board of Directors of The Extension, the Bobby Dodd Foundation and the Dodd Trophy. He has previously served as a Board Member for the Associated General Contractors of Georgia, the Cobb Chamber, a large privately held fire protection company and on the WellStar Hospice Advisory Committee. Gene is also an Owner’s Representative of the Carpenter’s Union Local 225. Gene and his wonderful wife of 35 years, Lee, are members of Christ Community Church and are the very proud parents of a 30 year old daughter Emalyn and of a 29 year old son Bobby.
